The Oakland Better Birth Foundation will be offering a unique doula practice to the Bay Area Community, Shiphrahs Circle Community Doula Program!
 
Join us in the circle for a hearty breakfast and to receive the following resources:
 
Pregnancy Testing
Birth Doula Support
Full Spectrum (Abortion) Doula Support
Childbirth Education
Breastfeeding Education
Bereavement Counseling (Grief support for loss due to miscarriage, abortion, or infant death)
Parenting Education and support
Referrals to local midwives and OB’s
Adoption information and referrals
 
All services are offered on a sliding scale and are free if needed.

It was my honor to present my worskop “When Baby Becomes an Ancestor at this years ICTC, International Center for Traditonal Childbearing’s Black Midwives and Healers Conference!

Being Black in America is hazardous to the health of pregnant women

 

This video shares a good deal of the concerns – we are working to bring solutions.  While we cannot quickly eliminate the racism  – we can provide tools to our community to combat internalized oppression and to provide tools , education and information to support healthy life style choices.
